Travel & Transportation:

For those flying in from out-of-state, we recommend flying into Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and arranging transportation to Santa Barbara (2 - 2.5 hour drive) or taking a connecting flight into the Santa Barbara Regional Airport (SBA) (through SFO or LAX). Santa Barbara is a regional airport, so there are no direct international flights. In terms of transportation methods from LAX, we recommend a rental car, private car, or shuttle service. Unfortunately, Uber will be challenging (few drivers willing to go that far) and quite expensive. We have outlined a few recommended private car and shuttle service options below. In terms of a rental car service, we don't have a personal preference outside of the three primary providers (Avis, Hertz and Enterprise). Hotels:

While we recommend that guests stay at the Ritz Carlton (please call the hotel to get our room block discount), we understand that guests might have other personal preferences. We have provided some lodging alternatives below (in Santa Barbara and Montecito), but want to note that the Ritz Carlton is 15 - 20 mins outside of Santa Barbara city center.
